Committees

The Prince of Peace Lutheran School School Board has been putting together a 3-5 year strategic plan. Throughout these discussions, we have identified two key areas that we need to address. We are now seeking additional committee members from POP parents to assist in developing the specific plans and executables for each of the areas. Your hours served on either of these committees would count towards your annual PIP (Parents In Participation) hours.

ENROLLMENT AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES and
CAPITAL NEEDS TO SUPPORT THE FUTURE GROWTH

These committees would generate ideas and formulate a list of wants and needs for each objective.
Develop the estimated cost and a time line to accomplish each.
Bring the outcome back to the Board to discuss and take action.

There are also other committees that you can join to get involved with the school and have an impact on its future. These committees will not involve a large commitment of time and they will probably meet once a month on average.

Fundraising Committee:

This committee will review fund-raising opportunities brought to the school and search for potential new fund-raising ideas. They will also assist in scheduling the event and decide which fundraising events are best suited for Thrivent or other supplement funds. They will also review a post evaluation report presented by the chair of the fundraising event.

Endowment Taskforce:

This committee will be responsible for establishing an Endowment Fund for Prince of Peace Lutheran School. This committee will be recommending investment criteria, what type of endowment to set up, as well as developing by-laws to be presented to the Board of Directors for final approval.

Marketing Committee:

The Marketing Committee is involved with all aspects of marketing our school. This committee is responsible for the website, advertisements, print media, Spirit Wear apparel, questionnaires, communication with our Prince of Peace families, Association Churches, and the surrounding community. If you have experience in marketing, advertising, or just a desire to help our school grow to its full potential, we could use your time and input!

We all need to remember to walk in the footsteps of Jesus!

I will think of God's love for His children,
