Plus we will accept students from all faiths. We are associated with five area Lutheran churches: Holy Cross, Trinity, Love of Christ, Faith, and Redeemer. We offer a tuition discount for all families who are members of our association churches (see tuition section below). If you belong to a Lutheran church that is not an association church of Prince of Peace, you may want to persuade them to join us in our efforts to reach more children and families. Our association pastors all take turns conducting our Wednesday morning chapel services. Our students visit all association churches throughout the school year to perform songs they have learned in our music program. We celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week with a different theme each day that the kids really enjoy to celebrate their Lutheran faith and our association churches promote our school and Lutheran education through their sermons and offering pancake breakfasts. Our Principal, Mr. Wolter, attends the Pastor's meeting to keep the bond strong and the communication open between our association churches and our school and he visits each association church periodically to lead the Children's Message in the sermon.
We offer three convenient locations for our preschool program. Our Preschool Program Director is Mrs. Copeland. Our Trinity location offers Before and After School Care as well as Summer Camp Activities.
Children learn from repetition. Repeating the same message of Jesus' love for us each and every day (not just on Sunday) is very important in a child's life. Students of Prince of Peace read Bible stories and learn their lessons, participate every Wednesday morning in a Chapel service, and are encouraged to pray and talk about Jesus!
We asked our students to finish this sentence: "I Like Prince of Peace School because?"
"We sing songs about Jesus"

Jesus Knows Me...This I Love!
Prince of Peace Lutheran School feels like one big family! It is smaller than public schools which allows you to get to know the staff, teachers, students, and parents. Students are known by name not only by the teachers; but also by the office staff and lunchroom workers. Everyone genuinely cares for one another. Prince of Peace families are united in friendship, bonded by a common interest in teaching Jesus to their children, and share a very strong commitment to the success of their school.
Many of the parents who have chose Prince of Peace for the place of education for their own child, attended as a child themselves or attended another Lutheran school; therefore, we are now educating second, third, and even fourth family generations! Two of the teachers at Prince of Peace are actual alumni of Trinity Lutheran School! We share a pride in our school and parents volunteer hours in many different ways to contribute to its success. Please read our complete and inspiring story of how Prince of Peace Lutheran School became a reality in our "About Us" section.
"I like Christmas time at Prince of Peace because we take time to decorate our room for Advent as we look forward to celebrating Jesus' birth."
Unlike public schools, students at Prince of Peace can actually celebrate holidays! Students rejoice about things they are thankful for and pray together, the hallways are decorated with stars shining a path directing students to baby Jesus at Christmas time, room parents arrange advent and resurrection parties, and students work very hard on our Christmas Music Program. The hallways are always decorated with our children's hard work, artwork, and accomplishments. We celebrate and share our beliefs with others!
Our building is only three years old offering a modern, clean environment for our students. It is also equipped with a security system for the safety and security of our children.
Prince of Peace offers before and after care, busing, an on-site preschool as well as two other preschool locations (one in Sauk Rapids and one in South St. Cloud) for the modern, busy family. For more details see the Policies section.
We are centrally located in the community between St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids and near Sartell to be readily convenient for our families. Directions.
Prince of Peace Lutheran School is a school of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). In keeping with the purpose and philosophy of our school, all subjects are taught in the light of God's Word. Every child takes part in daily devotions, chapel services, evangelism, and other religious projects. Prince of Peace Lutheran School offers those subjects commonly taught at the kindergarten, elementary, and middle school levels with the addition of a religion curriculum prepared for LCMS elementary schools.
"Today I led devotions for our class. The devotion talked about the fact that we've all sinned, but we're saved by God's grace. It is wonderful to know that God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins!"
Our students enjoy performing in musical productions almost as much as our families and friends enjoy watching them perform and sing wonderful, joyful songs and biblical stories.
Our music director also offers convenient, private music lessons.
Fifth and Sixth graders are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of athletic events with schools in the Parochial Athletic Association of St. Cloud (PAA) and /or with other Lutheran schools. Prince of Peace athletic program includes soccer, girl's and boy's basketball, and track. Many of these opportunities are not offered at public schools.
An important part of each child's school experience is extracurricular in nature. In addition to the athletic program, Prince of Peace offers spelling bee's, service projects, science fairs, career days, and Bible bowls.
The school year at Prince of Peace starts the Wednesday before Labor Day weekend and ends the end of May. Our parents prefer this schedule to get an early start on their summer vacation. Many schools in our community are in session through the first week in June. School Calender.
We offer half-day and full-day Kindergarten classes. Compare our tuition costs with area schools.
We are a partner with Family Financial Needs Assessment (FFNA). FFNA assists Christian schools by providing a financial needs assessment of parents who apply for financial aid. FFNA provides third party objectivity and confidentiality. Any current Prince of Peace family or new family can apply for financial assistance through FFNA.
We will try to accommodate all students interested in attending Prince of Peace Lutheran School and each school year we will re-evaluate our situation to best meet everyone's needs; however, our underlying goal is to not exceed a maximum of 20 students per class.
"I've been at Prince of Peace since Preschool, and I've made a lot of special friends in the small classes."
Straight from the minds of Kindergartners and First Graders, I like Prince of Peace Lutheran School because...
