Prince of Peace Lutheran School is a school of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). In keeping with the purpose and philosophy of our school, all subjects are taught in the light of God's Word. Every child takes part in daily devotions, chapel services, evangelism, and other religious projects. Prince of Peace Lutheran School offers those subjects commonly taught at the kindergarten, elementary, and middle school levels with the addition of a religion curriculum prepared for LCMS elementary schools.
Children learn from repetition. Repeating the same message of Jesus' love for us each and every day (not just on Sunday) is very important in a child's life. Students of Prince of Peace read Bible stories and learn their lessons, participate every Wednesday morning in a Chapel service, and are encouraged to pray and talk about Jesus!
We will try to accommodate all students interested in attending Prince of Peace Lutheran School and each school year we will re-evaluate our situation to best meet everyone's needs; however, our underlying goal is to not exceed a maximum of 20 students per class.
During National Lutheran Schools Week we take time to reflect on the blessings God has given to us through Prince of Peace. The fifth graders recently wrote acrostic poems using the letters from Prince of Peace. Here are just a few things they love about our school:
Caring teachers, field trips, chapel, people are nice, reading about God, awesome music teacher, friendly staff, people have kind hearts, opportunities to serve God, Reading Buddies, awesome education, ringing chimes, energized kids, and Christ is here!
Christ truly is present in our daily activities at Prince of Peace. Thank you for allowing your children to be a part of the Prince of Peace family!

PREPARE the way for the Lord!
This month all of us at Prince of Peace have been preparing for many things. We have been preparing to share Jesus’ love with our family, friends, and community through music. We prepare our minds for daily activities in our classes. We are preparing for Christmas at home by putting up a tree and decorations. We are even busy preparing for Christmas Break! Through all of our preparations let us be mindful of keeping Christ at the center. HE is the reason for the season after all!
The fifth graders would like to leave you with a poem we passed out in chapel a few weeks ago.
Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the bloodshed for me.
White is for my Savior
Who’s sinless and pure!
“J” is for My Lord, that’s for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for me!

It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through our first trimester. The fifth graders are enjoying being over in the middle school wing and in one of the new classrooms at Prince of Peace! We praise and thank God for all of the blessings he has freely given to each of us at Prince of Peace. Among those blessings are the gifts and talents God gives us to use in our academic studies. The fifth graders have been hard at work using these gifts as we work with division in math, continue learning about colonial times, study weather, and learn about Law and Gospel. Let’s continue to be thankful as we live each day in service to the Lord!
