4th Grade
Prince of Peace Lutheran School is a school of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). In keeping with the purpose and philosophy of our school, all subjects are taught in the light of God's Word. Every child takes part in daily devotions, chapel services, evangelism, and other religious projects. Prince of Peace Lutheran School offers those subjects commonly taught at the kindergarten, elementary, and middle school levels with the addition of a religion curriculum prepared for LCMS elementary schools.
Children learn from repetition. Repeating the same message of Jesus' love for us each and every day (not just on Sunday) is very important in a child's life. Students of Prince of Peace read Bible stories and learn their lessons, participate every Wednesday morning in a Chapel service, and are encouraged to pray and talk about Jesus!
We will try to accommodate all students interested in attending Prince of Peace Lutheran School and each school year we will re-evaluate our situation to best meet everyone's needs; however, our underlying goal is to not exceed a maximum of 20 students per class.
CLASSROOM CORNER - Fourth Grade
We are preparing our hearts for Christmas in fourth grade. We’ve been reading daily Advent devotions and adding decorations to our Christmas tree. In addition, our religion lessons have been focusing on the prophets that fore fold of Christ’s birth.
Some other topics we’ve been studying are rocks and minerals, eating healthy, and the Northeast States’ Region.
In math we have been working with multiplying, mixed numbers and lines and segments. There’s never a dull moment in Fourth Grade. Merry Christmas to you All!

CLASSROOM CORNER - Fourth Grade
What a busy and exciting year we have had so far! In Religion, we just took our first Religion test on God’s creation, the fall into sin, and heroes like Abraham.
In Math, we are focusing on learning our basic addition and subtraction facts. Some recent new concepts have been Time Elapsed Story problems and temperature using both Fahrenheit and the Celcius Scales.
In Social, we have just about completed our unit on the states of the Southwest.
In Health, we’re focusing on our Body Systems.
In Science, the lessons have been centered on weather and different kinds of clouds.
Many fourth graders are also involved in soccer, band, and even piano lessons.
