Prince of Peace Lutheran School is a school of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). In keeping with the purpose and philosophy of our school, all subjects are taught in the light of God's Word. Every child takes part in daily devotions, chapel services, evangelism, and other religious projects. Prince of Peace Lutheran School offers those subjects commonly taught at the kindergarten, elementary, and middle school levels with the addition of a religion curriculum prepared for LCMS elementary schools.
Children learn from repetition. Repeating the same message of Jesus' love for us each and every day (not just on Sunday) is very important in a child's life. Students of Prince of Peace read Bible stories and learn their lessons, participate every Wednesday morning in a Chapel service, and are encouraged to pray and talk about Jesus!
We will try to accommodate all students interested in attending Prince of Peace Lutheran School and each school year we will re-evaluate our situation to best meet everyone's needs; however, our underlying goal is to not exceed a maximum of 20 students per class.
Hello again from the Kindergarten Class! Things are really falling into place for us as we continue to grow strong in the Lord. In Jesus time, we completed our journey with Moses out of Egypt into the Wilderness. Joshua led God's people into the Promised Land. We are learning of other Old Testament characters such as Gideon and the trust he placed in the Lord, and Ruth with her kindness and loyalty.
In reading, we have learned the sight word the, a, and my. We started our "Book-in-a-Bag" program. This Friday we are going to wear orange and carve a pumpkin according to the pumpkin prayer. Last of all, in Social Studies, we are learning about the job of our President. We are excited to cast votes in the 6th Grade room next Tuesday for our new President. No matter who wins the election, we are putting our hope and faith in Jesus!

Welcome to POP School! A new year brings much excitement to the Kindergarten Classroom. We are getting to know our routine, our friends' names, and our school. Last week we acted out the "Gingerbread Man" story using face puppets. We then decorated cookies for snack and they ran away! Where did we find them ~ in Mr. Wolter's Office!
In Jesus Time, we are learning how God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day. We learned that by God, all things were created.
We are looking forward to our B.E.A.R. Time (Be Excited About Reading) this week with Mr. Hahn's class.
Finally, after we reviewed our classroom rules one day, one of the Kindergarteners said, "If we follow these rules, we show Jesus' love." That is what makes being part of Prince of Peace so precious!
